- The U.S. Department of Labor - Bureau of Labor Statistics states that computer related jobs (IT) hold numerous positions within the Top 20 Fastest Growing Occupations in the country. Additionally IT jobs are reported to have the highest earnings of any of the occupations in the list.
- Computer occupations are expected to grow rapidly and gain many new jobs over the next decade (2002 - 2012). In fact, they are expected to grow more than twice as fast as the average for all occupations.
- Completion of a certification training program will help those new to the industry qualify for entry-level positions that can lead them into new and exciting careers. Those already familiar and employed in the industry often gain certifications to increase their salary, get promoted, and/or to deepen their knowledge base for increased job security. Case studies show that certified employees overall earn higher salary and gain better job security and benefits than those not certified.
